The deceased was first years old. He was born near Edison and his entire life has been spent in this community. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Tuesday afternoon. Edison Echo - Thursday, November 6th, 1930 Obituary James Thomas Littell was born in Gosper County, Nebraska on May 31, 1880 and departed this life on the home farm on October 26, 1930 at the age of 50 years, 4 months and 25 days. He grew to manhood in the community, then known as Gosper, from which place with his parents he moved to the home southwest of Edison where they lived two years. They then moved to Sheridan, Wyoming. In 1903 they returned to Gosper at which place the father passed away. In 1905, Jim with his invalid mother, and three younger brothers came to dwell on the present farm. The twenty-two years of constant care he gave to his invalid mother only strengthened his character and made him the true blue comrade by which everyone knew him. On November 5, 1924, he was united in marriage to Florence Edna Perry at Wray, Colorado. Following an illness of two years ago, Jim has been failing in health and yet was able to be about doing his work and helping his neighbors when called up on to do so. He was a good neighbor, a faithful brother, and loving husband. The high esteem in which he was held is the proof of his sterling reputation and will be sadly missed by those who knew him. He leaves to mourn his loss a bereaved wife and three brothers, Francis of Edison, Clarence of Elwood and George of Haigler. Also an aunt, Mrs. Mary Watkins of Arapahoe, an uncle Charlie Littell of Edison, one uncle, John Reed of Elwood, and one aunt, Martha Atkinson of Montana, and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Christian Church. Interment was in the Arapahoe cemetery.
