W.S. Morris officiating. Internment was in the Arapahoe Cemetery. Isabelle Reed Littell was born in Jeffersonville, Floyd County, Indiana on May 6, 1850 and died on a farm 10 miles north of Haigler, Nebraska on January 18th, 1926, at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 12 days. In 1876 she was united in marriage to George K. Littell in Jeffersonville, Ind. To this union were born four children all of whom survive the deceased. Immediately following the marriage they moved from Indiana to Nebraska settling down on a homestead north of Edison. Here they stayed some 23 years when they moved to a farm across the river south of Edison, staying there about 2 years. About the year 1901 they and their family moved into the town of Sheridan, Wyoming. In 1903 they returned to Nebraska moving on to a farm in Gosper Co. In December of this year Brother Littell passed away. Sister Littell for several years had been indifferent in health, and yet was able to do her own work. She was conscious to the end and on the Sunday before her demise spoke of attending to several of her affairs and had already written a couple of letters to her brother and sister. She was but 19 years when she professed the Christian faith, joining the Christian church in Indiana. She lived a transparently simple life, never intentionally harming a soul. She was unable to go to the church of her profession after leaving Indiana and was more often at the Baptist or the Methodist church. She leave to mourn her loss James T. Littell of Edison, Nebr., Francis Littell of Elwood, Clarence C. Littell of Elwood and George of Haigler, one brother John Reed of Elwood, one sister Mary Welker of Arapahoe and Martha Atkinson of Montana, five grand children and a host of friends. Service was held in the Methodist church in Haigler, Nebr., to accommodate the number of friends in that town. Rev. Carter in charge of the service.
