Description	:	James W. Tweedy ELDON. - James W. Tweedy, 81, died at his home in Eldon Friday at 5:30 p.m. He had been in failing health several years. He was the son of L.D. and Sarah Hull Tweedy and was born October 20, 1876, near Floris. He spent his life in southeastern Iowa, having moved to Eldon in 1948 when he retired from farming and coal mining. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America in Ottumwa. Worth, Tex.; a son, Ernest R. Tweedy of Des Moines, four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. A daughter Florence died in 1932. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Campbell funeral home with the Rev. Elmer Hollingsworth of Ottumwa in charge. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah cemetery near Douds. Source: Van Buren Co.
