Description	:	Janet McKee was born at Fairfax, Missouri September 12, 1887, and departed this life at her home in Alma, Nebraska on December 26, 1949, at the age of 62 years, 3 months and 14 days. As a child she lived with her parents in Missouri, with a few years spent at Wray, Colorado. In the year 1902 they moved to a farm near Alma, Nebraska. On June 9, 1909 she was married to Esker M. Read More	Janet McKee was born at Fairfax, Missouri September 12, 1887, and departed this life at her home in Alma, Nebraska on December 26, 1949, at the age of 62 years, 3 months and 14 days. As a child she lived with her parents in Missouri, with a few years spent at Wray, Colorado. In the year 1902 they moved to a farm near Alma, Nebraska. On June 9, 1909 she was married to Esker M. Cox, who preceded her in death September 27, 1936. To this union was born one daughter, Janette Elizabeth. Mrs. Cox was a graduate of the Alma High school and also a graduate in piano from the Frankin Academy. She was a member of the Christian church, Chapter BJ of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and the Riverview Project Club. Having been in very frail health for a number of years, she was unable to take an active part in either church or civic organizations. In former years she served as church organist and very willingly assumed responsibilies wherever she could be of assistance. Through the years her patience and courage was exceeded only by her kindess to others. Since the death of her husband, she had made her home with her sister, Vesta McKee in Alma. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter, Janette Elizabeth Cox of Denver, CO; her sisters, Vesta McKee and Mrs. Thomas C Rogers of Alma; Mrs Grace M Johnson of Las Vegas, NV; Mrs. Charles H Graham of Seibert, CO; one brother E.E. McKee of Alma; six nephews and three neices, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held from the Christian church Wednesday afternoon, December 28, with the Rev. R.H. Chenoweth, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Interment was made at the Alma Cemetery.
