She was a member of the Lithopolis United Methodist Church, a 1979 graduate of Liberty Union High School, a school aid at Bloom Carroll School. the Awards coordinator for the Fairfield county Fair, Bloom Carroll Middle School PTO President, active member of Girl Scouts of America and the 4H Pink Passion Queens. Survived by her husband Floyd E. Downs, sons, Noah and Caleb Downs, brothers Carl, Dale and Jeffrey DeLong, father and mother in-law Floyd and Judith Downs, brother and sister-in-law... Janet was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Doris Jean Edwards DeLong. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursdat January 10th 2013 at the Lithopolis United Methodist Church with Rev. Russell Tichenor officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery . Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday at the Halteman-Fett&Dyer Funeral Home and from 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Thursday at the church prior to services.
