Description	:	Janie J. Worrell, 63, of Grand Island, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center. Janie was born May 21, 1948, at Ord to DeLysle and Mavis (Schudel) Jeffres. Survivors are: husband, Gary Worrell; son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Amy Worrell of Albion; daughter, Kristi Worrell of Lincoln; mother, Mavis Jeffres of Grand Island; four sisters, Sheila Loescher, Vicki Buckman, Kim Aldrich, and Lori Lewis all of Grand Island; brother, Jim Jeffres of Ogallala; grandsons, Cooper and Broderick Worrell of Albion. Survivors are: husband, Gary Worrell; son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Amy Worrell of Albion; daughter, Kristi Worrell of Lincoln; mother, Mavis Jeffres of Grand Island; four sisters, Sheila Loescher, Vicki Buckman, Kim Aldrich, and Lori Lewis all of Grand Island; brother, Jim Jeffres of Ogallala; grandsons, Cooper and Broderick Worrell of Albion. Janie grew up in Scotia and graduated from North Loup-Scotia High School in 1966. Janie was united in marriage to Gary Worrell on March 23, 1968, in Scotia. The couple lived in Grand Island, where she worked for Brandeis, Younkers and Principal Financial. She retired from Principal in 2010. Janie was a loving and caring person who always enjoyed helping others. One of her favorite pastimes was "tanking" down the North Loup River. She also enjoyed quilting, baking, gardening, caring for her dogs and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. Janie will also be greatly missed by a special group of friends, the Tankers. Janie was preceded in death by her father and an infant sister, Linda Jeffres.
