Description	:	Boone County Democrat April 30, 1909 Mrs. Jemina Fairn York, a well known and highly esteemed resident of Zenorsville, died at the home of her son, Steve York, Saturday evening, after an illness of a few days duration with grip and old age. She was born Jan 30, 1834 and died April 24, 1909. She was born in Dariston, Staffordshire, England, and was married to Joseph York March 13th, 1854. To this union nine children were born. Read More	Boone County Democrat April 30, 1909 Mrs. Jemina Fairn York, a well known and highly esteemed resident of Zenorsville, died at the home of her son, Steve York, Saturday evening, after an illness of a few days duration with grip and old age. She was born Jan 30, 1834 and died April 24, 1909. She was born in Dariston, Staffordshire, England, and was married to Joseph York March 13th, 1854. To this union nine children were born. The husband and three children preceded her to the better world; two sons and four daughters remain; namely Steve of Zenorsville and E. York of Fraser, Mrs. Gossard of Gilbert Station, Mrs. Givens of Fraser, Mrs. Polly Zenor of Zenorsville, and Mrs. P. Briley of Kansas. She became a Christian when just a young girl and united with the Methodist church. She had been a resident of this community for about 40 years. She leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss. The funeral was held at Zenorsville Monday at 2:00 o'clock, burial at the Mitchell cemetery.
