ALSTON, 72 Mrs. Jennie DAVISON ALSTON (sic. Jennie May DICKINSON DAVISON/ALSTON), lifelong county resident, died last night at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been seriously ill for the past two weeks. She was 72. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in McDowell cemetery north of Fairfield. Mrs. ALSTON spent most of her life at her farm home eight miles north of Fairfield. She was a member of the McDowell Methodist church. She was born at Pleasant Plain Nov. 2, 1877, the daughter of Samuel and Nina PRINGLE DICKINSON. She was married to Stoner DAVISON Jan. 23, 1895, who preceded her in death March 31, 1936. On July 6, 1938 she married Thomas ALSTON. He died Oct. 26, 1949 (sic. died Oct. 20, 1949 on his F/A/G memorial) Mrs. ALSTON is survived by four children, Mrs. Nettie ELDER (sic. Nellie Eileen DAVISON ELDER), San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Ceicel WIKOFF (sic. Cecile Marie DAVISON WIKOFF), Libertyville; Clifford DAVISSON (sic. Clifford DAVISON), Fairfield, and Mrs. Geneva BELL, Lockridge. Two step children, Mrs. Lena ALKIRE, Jamaica, Iowa, and Thomas C. ALSTON, serving with the U. S . Army in Trieste, Italy, and one sister, Mrs. Julia GEORGE, Ventura, Cailf. (sic. Calif.), also survive. Other survivors include 21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, five step gandchilden (sic. grandchildren) and five step great-grandchildren. One daughter, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
