Description	:	Jens, Johnson, a well-known farmer, living nine miles northwest of Akron, near Garland, S.D. died Monday night of tuberculosis after an illness of several weeks. His trouble started with a diseased bone in his foot, for which he was operated upon in a Sioux City hospital. He returned from there about three weeks ago and was evidently much improved; but within a few days a turn was taken for the worse, the disease permeating his entire system, and was, near death’s door for a number of days before the end came. Read More	Jens, Johnson, a well-known farmer, living nine miles northwest of Akron, near Garland, S.D. died Monday night of tuberculosis after an illness of several weeks. His trouble started with a diseased bone in his foot, for which he was operated upon in a Sioux City hospital. He returned from there about three weeks ago and was evidently much improved; but within a few days a turn was taken for the worse, the disease permeating his entire system, and was, near death’s door for a number of days before the end came. His wife died several years ago, the surviving relatives being one married daughter, Mrs. J.G, Groon, and two unmarried daughters, who have much sympathy in their bereavement. Deceased was better known as "Jim" Johnson and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. The funeral was held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Union Greek, S.D, Swedish, Lutheran Church, Rev. Swaney Nelson, of Big Springs, preaching the sermon. Interment was made in the cemetery there.
