Joe Shillcutt. Burial was in Glasco Cemetery. Mr. Neff, known to his friends as Junior Neff, died Thursday morning, July 28, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Concordia. He was born June 5, 1918, in Glasco, where he lived all his life. He married Retha Stortz on Dec. 23, 1939. To this marriage three children were born: Deanna Rae, deceased; Donna Kay and Frederick Louis. He had farmed and custom harvested in the Glasco area most of his life. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Glasco, and the Moose Lodge, Concordia. Survivors include his wife, Retha; his mother, Nelle Neff of the Nicol Home, Glasco; one daughter, Donna of the home; one son, Frederick and his wife, LeRae of Independence, Kans.; a foster son, Alphonse Gagnon and his wife, Irene of Wichita; one brother, Elwyn Neff, Hot Springs, Ark.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Rae, his father, Jesse Neff and one brother, Owen Neff. He will be remembered by his many relatives and friends as a generous man who was the best of fathers and a loving husband. The family suggests memorials may be sent to the Kansas Lung Association.
