Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * JoAnn (Bunger) Van Hove was born on Thursday; September 8, 1938 in Steamboat Rock; Hardin County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Coert and Helen (Beenken) Bunger. She attended Steamboat Rock Consolidated School, graduating in 1956 and attended Ellsworth Junior College, graduating in 1958. Jo Ann was united in marriage to John T. Van Hove on June 23, 1963 in Baumholder, Germany where John was stationed with the U.S. Army. She was employed by the European Exchange System in Stuttgart, Germany, the American Express Bank in Berlin, Germany, Canal Industries in Augusta, Georgia, and she was a federal government employee for 20 years at Fort Gordon, Georgia, the VA Hospital, and the US Dept. of Agriculture in Des Moines. She lived in Augusta, Georgia from 1970 until 1990, she then returned to Iowa and lived in Urbandale. JoAnn (Bunger) Van Hove, age 71, passed away on Friday; December 18, 2009 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston; Polk County, Iowa after a long battle with cancer. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her husband, John of Urbandale; a niece, Teresa Ohnesorge of Marshalltown; a great-niece, McKenzie Marsh of Marshalltown; a great-nephew, Coert Groff of Marshalltown; as well as other nieces and nephews, Lorene Mein, Catherine Mein, Patrick Smith, David (Karen) Smith, James (Diane) Smith, and Janet Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Thelma Ohnesorge. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday; December 21, 2009 at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley with burial in the East Friesland Cemetery, Ackley, Iowa.
