Those in charge of flowers were Mr. Evelyn Roberts and Basil Joice, the family receiving beautiful floral remembrances and spiritual bouquets. John Anthony Lacey, son of Thomas and Johanna Lacey, was born in Boone County, February 3, 1878. His entire life was spent in farming, until the time of his death. He had made his home with his brother, M.F. Lacey and family on Route 3, Boone. The deceased was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, James, Thomas and Patrick. Surviving are a brother Michael F. Lacey, two sisters, Mrs. Mrs. Lindmark, 1603 12th Street, Boone, and Mrs. Charles F. Shuey 719 36th Street, Des Moines, also six nephew, six nieces and a number of grand-nieces and nephews and a foster niece, Mrs. Charles F. Hudgen of Pedro Valley, California. Those attending the funeral services from out of the city were Mr. And Mrs. C.F. Shuey and Audrey of Des Moines., Mr. And Mrs. Jack Vest and Johnny of Marshalltown., Mr. Tom Lacey of St. Paul, Minn., Mr. And Mrs. Michael Maher of Kansas City, Kansas and Mrs. Mary Nugent of Kansas City, Missouri and Miss Rose Mary Ryan of Omaha. "There is a destiny that makes u brothers, none goes his way alone. All that we send into the lives of others, Comes back into our own."
