Description	:	John August Fredrickson John August Fredrickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Anderson (?), was born July 22, 1877 at Ingetorp Smaland, Sweden, and passed away at his farm home west of Loup City on March 23, 1939 at the age of 61 years 8 months and one day. He emigrated from his homeland to America in 1901. At first he settled in Waverly, Nebraska, later took up residence at Ceresco, Nebraska. And some years later moved to Plattsmouth. He emigrated from his homeland to America in 1901. At first he settled in Waverly, Nebraska, later took up residence at Ceresco, Nebraska. And some years later moved to Plattsmouth. In 1916 he moved to Sherman county, and settled on a farm where he resided at the time of his death, which came very unexpectedly and was a shock to the community. He was married to Selma Moberg of Lincoln, February 16, 1916. To this union seven children were born. One of the sons passed away in infancy. Mr. Fredrickson was a devoted husband, a loving father and thoughtful and accommodating neighbor. There is a vacancy left by his death that is very noticable [sic]. His presence is greatly missed. He leaves to mourn his going away, his beloved wife and six children, Alice of Denver, Colo., Ivan, Helen, Anna May, Elsie and Alvin of Loup City. Three brothers, Charlie Johnson of Hastings, Oscar Fredrickson, North Pleasanton, Texas; Elmer Johnson of Port Wing, Wisconsin. Two sisters, Mrs. Anna Gundstrom of Douglas, Wyoming and Mrs. Hilda Marquardt of Denver, Colo. Other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Elmer Peterson and burial was made in Evergreen cemetery. The Sherman County Times - Mar 30 1939
