Description	:	John Bohall was born January 7, 1849, in Jackson county, Indiana, and died at the home of his son, William Bohall, at Beaconsfield, Iowa, August 13, 1928, at the age of 79 years, seven months and six days. Mr. Bohall was united in marraige to Miss Mary E. Briner on April 21, 1872. This union, though not to last much over three years, was blessed with two sons, William P. Bohall, of Beaconsfield, Iowa, and Francis L. Bohall, Des Moines, Iowa, who was only two weeks old when the young mother was called to her reward, leaving John Bohall alone... Read More	John Bohall was born January 7, 1849, in Jackson county, Indiana, and died at the home of his son, William Bohall, at Beaconsfield, Iowa, August 13, 1928, at the age of 79 years, seven months and six days. Mr. Bohall was united in marraige to Miss Mary E. Briner on April 21, 1872. This union, though not to last much over three years, was blessed with two sons, William P. Bohall, of Beaconsfield, Iowa, and Francis L. Bohall, Des Moines, Iowa, who was only two weeks old when the young mother was called to her reward, leaving John Bohall alone to care for their two little children. Mr. Bohall was again married in 1880 to Miss Rose Bell Allen. To this union were born two sons, James Andrew and Joseph Olive, who passed away June 23, 1897. A second time Mr. Bohall was called upon to alone care for his little children for his second wife was called to her heavenly home August 11, 1897. Shortly after the death of his first wife, Mr. Bohall took his family of little children, came to Iowa, and located near Westerville in which community he has spent the rest of his life with the exception of such time as he has spent with his son, William, in Beaconsfield, Iowa. John Bohall united with the Baptist church in Indiana when 16 years of age, and when he came to Iowa in 1875 he transferred his membership to the Pleasant Valley Baptist church northeast of Grand River where he has retained his membership ever since and was in good standing at the time of his departure. Mr. Bohall leaves to mourn his departure his three sons: William P. of Beaconsfield, Iowa; Francis L. of Des Moines; and James Andrew of Osceola, Iowa; also one brother and two sisters, all of whom were in attenance at the funeral. There are also six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral services were from the Methodist church at Grand River with Rev. Soelberg, the pastor, in charge. Burial was in the Young cemetery near Grand River.
