Description	:	John C Whittridge was born abt 1840 in Harmony Twp., to Thomas Whittridge and Elizabeth Chenoweth Whittridge. John was mentally handicapped and was never able to have a normal life, marry, raise a family, or have an occupation. In 1850 he was 12 yrs old and attending school; in 1860 he was 22 yrs old and was helping his father on the family farm; in 1870 John C was 32 yrs of age, living with his widowed mother, he had no occupation and was listed as Idiotic; in 1880 he was 42 yrs of age, living with his mother,... Read More	John C Whittridge was born abt 1840 in Harmony Twp., to Thomas Whittridge and Elizabeth Chenoweth Whittridge. His loving mother died on Feb 7, 1888 and John died just 17 days later, on Friday, Feb 24, 1888, at age 48 yrs 1 mo 25 ds. The following Sunday afternoon, he was laid to rest near his parents in the Lisbon Cemetery. by Carolyn M Smith Clark Co. JOHN WHITRIDGE Mr. John Whitridge, who resided about three miles east of the city, and whose mother died about two weeks ago, died on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after a brief illness.
