He was born on June 14, 1927 to John A. and Wilhelmenia "Minnie" (Korber) Wissler in Seneca, Kansas. He was born on June 14, 1927 to John A. and Wilhelmenia "Minnie" (Korber) Wissler in Seneca, Kansas. Dale was raised on a farm in Kansas south west of DuBois with his three brothers, Clifford "Bob", Ivan "Ike" and George and two sisters; Beulah and Lucille. He attended school at Prairie Grove Country School and Seneca High School. Dale joined the service September 6 ,1945 in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas where he served as a cook and guarded German prisoners at Leavenworth, Kansas. Dale enjoyed running heavy equipment, hunting and fishing, woodworking and crafts, camping, playing summerset and was passionate about raising cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Minnie Wissler, one sister, Beulah, and three brothers, Clifford "Bob", Ivan "Ike" and George Wissler. Dale is survived by his wife of 30 years, Shirley; sister Lucille; daughters, Patty and Ellen; son, John; three grandchildren; one great granddaughter; his step daughters, Linda, Sondra and Judy; step son, Richard; and nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Wherry Mortuary in Pawnee City, Nebraska. Interment at the Pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City, Nebraska
