Lucille and Marvin are the parents of one son: ~Ronald ******** Wherry Mortuary; December 14, 2014 Lucille Hartman aged 90 years died peacefully early Sunday, morning December 14, 2014 at the Pawnee Manor, Pawnee City, Nebraska, where she had been a resident since 2011. Lucille was born on February 1, 1924, on the farm in Kansas near Du Bois, Nebraska, she was the 2nd daughter of John and Minnie (Korber) Wissler. Lucille helped her parents on the farm and she was a member of the Birthday Club. She attended school in Pawnee City then transferred to Seneca High School her sophmore year and graduated in 1941. On December 14th, 1941 Lucille married Marvin E. Hartman. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Dayton, Ohio where Marvin worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, for a short time. Lucille and Marvin later moved to Elm Creek, Nebraska then to Kearney, Nebraska where their first and only child Ronald was born. They returned to Du Bois, Nebraska area where they purchased a farm. Then in early 1950’s they sold it and moved to Ogden, Utah where Marvin worked at Hill Air Force Base. Lucille went to Cosmetology school in the mid 1950’s. After she obtained her licenses, she opened up Hartman’s Beauty Shop in the Eccles Building, downtown Ogden. When Marvin retired in the early 1970’s from Hill Air Force Base they sold her business and home , and then moved back to Pawnee City, Nebraska. They lived in Pawnee City until their deaths. Lucille was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, parents John and Minnie (Korber) Wissler, sister Beulah S. Eppley, four brothers, Ivan (Ike), Clifford (Bob), George and Dale Wissler. She is survived by her only child Ronald, two grandsons; two great grandchildren; nephew, John; and niece, Jean; sister-in-law, Dora; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial services will be on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Wherry Mortuary in Pawnee City, Nebraska. Inurnment will be at Friedens U.C.C. Cemetery in rural Bern, Kansas,
