Description	:	John Dirk Setty, son of Robert Hugh and Sandra Mitchell Setty, was born in the Adams County Hospital, West Union, Ohio, on March 29, 1964. He departed this life on September 19, 1982 at the age of 18 years, five months and 20 days. Although he was christened John Dirk, he was known to his family and many friends as J.D. J.D. attended Peebles High School, being a member of the class which graduated on June 6, 1982. Read More	John Dirk Setty, son of Robert Hugh and Sandra Mitchell Setty, was born in the Adams County Hospital, West Union, Ohio, on March 29, 1964. He departed this life on September 19, 1982 at the age of 18 years, five months and 20 days. Although he was christened John Dirk, he was known to his family and many friends as J.D. J.D. attended Peebles High School, being a member of the class which graduated on June 6, 1982. In addition to his parents, Hugh and Sandra Settyof Peebles, he is survived by two brothers, Rex of Peebles and Billy Dan at home; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Jane Hopkins of West Union, Mrs. Debi Wood of Peebles and Gayle Ann Setty at home; two nieces and four nephews; a special friend, Richard Tolle, whom he loved as a brother, and a very special girl friend, Miss Connie Wesley, who was very dear to his heart. He also leaves a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins, a host of friends and loving classmates by whom he will be sadly missed. J.D.'s life, though short, was filled with all the activities of a happy boy. He worked at various odd jobs he found available, but he was particulary interested in carpentry which he studied at the Ohio Valley Vocational School. He also enjoyed working with motors to which he devoted much of his time. J.D. was a devoted son, an affectionate brother and a loyal friend. He will be remembered by his special smile which he had for all with whome he came in contact. His smile reflected the goodness, happiness, humor, cheerfulness and friendliness which lay beneath.
