Ed had an older half-sister, Martha Jane Butler Smith (1878 - 1959, buried in Rosebank Cemetery), two biological sisters: Mary Ann Butler (born October 28, 1888 in Minden, Missouri, died March 1, 1902 in Ozark, Barton County, Missouri, buried in Rosebank Cemetery) and my maternal grandmother, Iva Pearl Butler Sparks (born July 18, 1893 at Camp Fuller, Crawford County, Kansas, died January 3, 1992 in Farmington, Missouri, buried in Cape Girardeau Memorial Park Cemetery), as well as four younger half-sisters from his father's third marriage to Mary Ellen Carson: Elsie Leona Butler Warren (born June 30, 1896, died July 31, 1985, buried in Rosebank Cemetery), Henrietta ('Nettie') Butler Morris (born January 29, 1898, died June 1987 in Arma, Kansas, buried in Rosebank Cemetery), Martha Alice ('Allie') Butler Andrews (born February 6, 1903, died October 29, 1970, buried in Rosebank Cemetery), and Lucinda ('Lucy') May Butler Endecott (born October 26, 1902 in Kansas, died April 1977 in Olathe, Kansas, buried in Rosebank Cemetery.) Ed married Mable Holman in February 1915 in Kansas, and they had 4 children, one son named Edward Christeen ('Chris') Butler, (February 3, 1916 - June 30, 1996) and three daughters, including Mary Madeline Butler Lawson Fudge, Violet Mae Butler Harper, and Wanda Butler Gibson. Ed was a direct descendant through his maternal grandmother Minerva Elizabeth Tiller Tracy of Mathieu Isaac Agee who led the Huguenot Movement from Nantes, France to The Netherlands to London, England and to freedom in Manakintowne, Colony of Virginia between 1688 and 1710. He was also a great-great grandson of Matthias Foote of CT, William Tracey, Sr. of Wolf Creek, VA, and of William Tiller, Sr. of Giles County, VA, who fought in the American Revolution (Patriots). Ed worked in the railroad industry in Kansas City, KS.
