Description	:	John Edward Parrish, son of Edward and Zerilda "Caul" Parrish, was born June 7th, 1848, at Green Castle, Ind., and departed this life Sept. 14th, 1931, aged 83 years, three months and seven days. Mr. Parrish was one of the early settlers of Adams county, having come here in October, 1862, and remained on his farm until 1911, when he moved to Bridgewater, Iowa, where he resided until 1926. Read More	John Edward Parrish, son of Edward and Zerilda "Caul" Parrish, was born June 7th, 1848, at Green Castle, Ind., and departed this life Sept. 14th, 1931, aged 83 years, three months and seven days. Mr. Parrish was one of the early settlers of Adams county, having come here in October, 1862, and remained on his farm until 1911, when he moved to Bridgewater, Iowa, where he resided until 1926. The remainder of his life was spent at the home of his son, Edward Parrish. He was married October 6, 1870, to Henrietta Hulbert, who departed her life on April 30, 1905. To this union were born three children, Cora Belle Griffin of Butler, Mo.; Nora Parrish Harlow-of Kansas City, K and Edward Parrish. of Bridgewater, Iowa. There are eight grandchildren and ten great-granchildren. He also leaves a half-brother, A. C. Parrish of St. Joseph, Mo., and one half-sister, Mrs. Laura Roeder of Fresno. Calif. Mr. Parrish gave Tom F. Preston of Corning, Iowa, a home from a baby of 10 months, to manhood, and he was considered as one of the family. Mr. Parrish was again married December 29, 1911. to Eleanor Madden, who died December 16, 1923.
