Description	:	Beatrice Daily Sun, Beatrice, NE - Fri, 8 Nov 1940 John F. Otto was born December 18, 1878, near Wilber, Neb., the son of Henry and Mary Otto. On March of the following year he was baptized by Pastor H Klockenmeyer. After instruction in the chief parts of the Christian doctrine he was confirmed on April 21, 1895, by Pastor O. Lampe at Hanover, Neb. On October 5, 1905, he was married to Martha Meyer. This marriage was blessed with one son. Otto was born December 18, 1878, near Wilber, Neb., the son of Henry and Mary Otto. On March of the following year he was baptized by Pastor H Klockenmeyer. After instruction in the chief parts of the Christian doctrine he was confirmed on April 21, 1895, by Pastor O. Lampe at Hanover, Neb. On October 5, 1905, he was married to Martha Meyer. This marriage was blessed with one son. From 1905 to 1916 the deceased lived with his family near DeWitt, Neb., and since 1916 on a farm northwest of Plymouth, Neb. The deceased was apparently enjoying good health, but early on Thursday morning, October 17, he answered the final summons and he has gone, we are confident, to be with his Lord forever. He attained the age of 61 years, 9 months and 29 days. His sudden and unexpected death is mourned by his widow, one son, Clarence; four brothers, Henry of Beatrice, William and Joseph of Pickrell, and Herman of Cortland; two sisters, Mrs. David M. Giesbrecht of Beatrice, and Mrs. William Pape of Cortland. The deceased was preceded by one brother, Frederick. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Oct. 20, at St. Paul's Lutheran church at Plymouth. Rev. A. T. Degner was in charge. Interment was in the church cemetery west of town.
