Page 1, The Britt News-Tribune, Britt, Iowa, Wednesday, April,13, 1927 WILLIAM WRIGHT'S BROTHER JOHN DEAD Lived Here and Worked For CH Valley Down in the Early Days Spent His Last Years in Odd Fellows Home and Died There Saturday John Wright a former Britt resident, passed away at the Odd Fellows Home in Mason City Saturday morning. He had been blind the past fifteen years and was a ward of the home during that time. In his young manhood he came to Hancock county from Knox county, Ohio, where he was born. He worked for Charley Brown when Britt was the greatest hay producing and marketing center in Iowa. Many of the older residents here will remember him. His wife died many years ago leaving him with two sons. One son John lives in Minneapolis. He is also survived by five brothers and three sisters. They are S.K. Wright, of Mason City; William, of Britt; David, of Medford, Minn.; Charles of Waseca, Minn.; Andy, of St. Cloud, Minnesota; Mrs. Frank Lewis, of Galena, Illinois; and Mrs. B.M. Jensen, of Medford, Minn.; and Mary Elizabeth Wilson, of Anita. The body was brought to Britt for burial in the family lot. Funeral services were held Tuesday.
