He was a son of the late William John and Celia Wallace Bowen of Marion County. Surviving are the widow; a son, Willie J. Bowen of Charleston; three daughters, Mrs. Vivian Larrimore of Brittons Neck, and Mrs. Catherine Coleman and Mrs. Gilbert McNeill, both of Dillon; a brother, Charlie Bowen of Lumberton, N.C.; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Allen of Lumberton.
