Description	:	Gave $5,000 for a new building at West Tennessee Christian College, Henderson, TN, which was named in honor of his daughter George (Georgie) Anne Robertson. Prof. J. F. Read More	Gave $5,000 for a new building at West Tennessee Christian College, Henderson, TN, which was named in honor of his daughter George (Georgie) Anne Robertson. Prof. J. F. Robertson offered to provide 50 per cent of the cost of a building on the following conditions: That a new corporation should be formed under the name of Georgia Robertson Christian College; that the college should be under the auspices of the Tennessee Christian Missionary Convention, whose Board should nominate annually three or more trustees; that the rentals of the college, above the cost of insurance, repairs and improvements, should be given to the missionary funds of the State, and that the college should especially seek to furnish the best education and highest culture to the young men preparing to enter the Christian ministry. The new organization was effected and a modern college building, costing about $12,000 was erected. This building could not now be duplicated for less than $20,000. It is 100 feet square, with elegant rooms, well lighted, heated and seated. Its equipments are adequate for 1,000 students. The buildings are situated in a beautiful grove of natural forest trees in the midst of the town of Henderson. The buildings, grounds and equipments are worth $25,000. This is a conservative estimate of the value of this property. The corporation owes no debts.
