Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Levander Funeral Home in Albion. Mr. Noble was born Feb. 21, 1936, on a farmstead northwest of Loretto to Lemual and Sarah (Young) Noble. He was baptized and confirmed at the Loretto Methodist Church. He stated grade school at District 18 southwest of Petersburg and continued at District 72 in Loretto. He graduated from Albion High School in 1953. He married Adrene Staack on Jan. 6, 1956, at her great-grandparent's home in Madison. The couple had four children, Jacquie, Jeff, Jill and Jolyn. The lived and farmed south of Loretto for the first few years of the marriage before moving south of St. Edward. They lived there for five years before moving to a farm south of Albion where he farmed for 38 1/2 years. Mrs. Adrene Noble died in November 1975. Mr. Noble married Norma Galley Berry on Nov. 2, 1977, at his parent's home in Albion. He farmed until retiring in 1993 but continued to do part-time farm work until his health failed this past year. Mrs. Norma Noble died in November 1998. In addition to raising grain and livestock, Mr. Noble operated a dairy business. He was a member of the Loretto Methodist Church until 1994 when he transferred his membership to the United Church of Christ. He was a deacon from 1995 to 1997 and served as a head usher from 1997 to 2001. Mr. Noble died following an eight-and-a-half month illness with cancer. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Jacquie and Tom Brugman of Albion, Jill and Chris Olson of Albion, and Jolyn and Bob Martin Jr., of Omaha; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Carol Jo Noble of Albion; a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Bill and Brenda Berry of Columbus; a stepdaughter Carolyn Brigham of Wahoo; special friend and caregiver, Alice Tracy of Albion; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers and daughters-in-law, Carrol and Verena Noble of Albion, Alton and Charlotte Noble of Albion, and Lemuel "Bud" and Toni Noble of LaVista; and three sisters, Betty Sindelar of Omaha, Helen Brunson of Ephram, Utah, and Margaret Reynoldson of Eagle. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; stepmother, Gwen Noble; three sisters, Arlene Hamilton, Grace Stelley, and Erma Jean Cook; stepson, Charles Berry; and stepson-in-law, Bob Brigham.
