Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 23 July 1941 John Harris Patterson Killed in Auto Accident This community was shocked on Saturday evening to learn of the death of John Harris Patterson at Canton, Ohio, who was killed in an automobile accident in that city early Saturday morning. It is presumed he was going to work when the accident occurred. He was well known in this city as he was born here and later attended the high school. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and he was a very popular young man in school. John Harris Patterson was born in Fort Benton on Feb. 4, 1913, and he obtained his schooling in Highwood, coming to Fort Benton for his last two years in high school and graduated with the class of 1929. He took a prominent part in all school activities. Following his graduation here he went to the university of Cincinnati, Ohio, majoring in electrical engineering, and was a member of Beta Kappa fraternity. Since his graduation he had been employed by the Ohio Power company in Canton, Ohio. He was married in New York City in 1939 to Miss Jane Hale Langley of that city. She survives him. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Nell Patterson of El Monte, Calif., who is visiting here; his father, John H. Patterson, of Dean, Mont.; and two brothers, Eddie and Billie, both of California. He is also survived by his grandmother, Mrs. John Harris, of Highwood, and other relatives and a host of friends. The body will be brought to Fort Benton on Wednesday morning, accompanied by Mrs. Patterson, and funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The relatives have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in this their hour of sudden bereavement.
