Deceased was born Oct. 28, 1864, in Hanover, Germany. He came to the United States with an older brother as a lad of 16 in 1880, settling first in Michigan then locating in South Dakota. He married Dora Vork in Campbell county, S.D., in 1888. Coming to Montana with the settlement of Wormser in Sweet Grass county in 1896, the family home had been on the south fork of Ten-mile creek until recent years when retirement brought them to town to live in a log home on Fourth avenue west. Survivors at the widow and eight children; John and Frank Mos and Mrs. Henry Aan Dyken, Manhattan; Mrs. Q. C. Huyser, Mrs. Dick Plaggemyer, Mrs. Leon Westervelt, and Mrs. Lester Hathaway, all of Big Timber. There are 30 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
