Loe, 76, well known Whitley county man, died at 7:05 o'clock Tuesday morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. and Mrs. Ervin Kemery, in south Columbia township. A native of Ohio, he was born near Spring Creek, Clark County, on March 23, 1856 to David Loe and Sarah Searles Loe. He came to Indiana and was married on June 14, 1877, to Mary Ward. His wife preceded him in death in January, 1920. Seven children were born to the Loes. Three of these survive, namely, William of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Melvin of Peru, Ind. and Mrs. Kemery, at whose home Mr. Loe died today. Also surviving ia a brother. Joe Loe of this city; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Loe's death followed an illness from complications of diseases. He had made his home for the past five years with Mr. and Mrs. Kemery. Mr. Loe was well well known and had many friends in the county. These extend their sympathy to the members of the bereft family. The body was removed from the DeMoney Funeral Home but will be returned to the Kemery residence Wednesday afternoon. Loe Funeral Is Held Thursday At Eberhard Church The funeral services for the late John Loe, held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Eberhard Lutheran church, were conducted by Rev. N.C. McCoy of this city. The pallbearers were Kimber Humbarger, Ervin Sell, Cecil Gradless, DeWitt Lilly, Joihn Perry and Elmer Miller. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
