Description	:	Funeral services for former Nelson resident, John (Lavern) Troudt, 78, of Alma will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 22 at the Bantorrey Funeral Chapel at Alma. The Rev. Dewayne Russell will be officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Nelson Cemetery. John passed away early Tuesday morning, November 19 at the Harlan County Hospital in Alma. John was born February 24, 1913 at Nelson, John and Minnie (Klawitter) Troudt. He was baptized in the Methodist faith during issues. John was born February 24, 1913 at Nelson, John and Minnie (Klawitter) Troudt. He was baptized in the Methodist faith during issues. John started school in Nelson and attending Bruning school his eighth and ninth grades then finished high school at Nelson, graduating with the class of 1932. On April 18, 1935 he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Ellen Moffatt at Mankato, Kansas. They lived in Idaho, Oregon and Nelson before moving to Alma in 1963 were he worked as an electrician for the city of Alma before his retirement. He was at passed member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Clover, Idaho and the Methodist Church Nelson. Preceding him in death were his mother in 1961, father in 1969 and one son, LeRoy Lavern (Butch) Troudt in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Alma, two daughters Mrs. Roberts (Joan) Zielinski of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Victor (Janet) Kuhlmann of Superior, one brother Leslie Troudt and wife, Leone of Alma, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established in his memory. Bantorrey Funeral Home of Alma is in charge of arrangements. The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, November 21, 1991; pg. 3
