Mrs. E.J. Cling, Mrs. Herman Nordeen, and Mrs. Robert Carson took care of the floral offerings and Keith Strandberg, Wayne Larson, Dickie Weddige and Dale Tuel were pallbearers. Interment was in the Dayton Cemetery. OBITUARY JOHN NELSON BERGLUND John Nelson Berglund was born December 11, 1947 at the Boone County Hospital, Boone, Iowa. He was baptized by the Rev. F.W. Hanson, Pastor of Stratford Lutheran Church in his parents' home on Feb. 1, 1948. He moved with his parents and sister, Rosella, to Dayton in December of 1948 and the family united with the local Lutheran Church and John's name was entered on the cradle roll. He became ill on Christmas night and after a week of loving care by his parents and the local physician, he was taken to Blank Memorial Hospital for children in Des Moines, where everything humanly possible to do was done for him. God in his wisdom saw fit to take him from this life on January 12, 1950. His early passing is mourned by his parents and sister, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Berglund and a host of other relatives and friends. The families of the De Kalb, Co. employees of which Mr. Berglund is one, served refreshments to a large group of relatives and friends in the church following the service. Many monetary gifts were given by relatives and friends in memory of the little boy.
