OBITUARY---LINN John Sterling Linn, son of Mrs. Nora Linn of Pawnee City, and the late Harry Linn, was born February 13, 1926, in Pawnee City, and passed away December 6, 1951, in El Cajon, Calif., at the age of 25 years, 9 months and 24 days. He was a graduate of Pawnee City High School and attended the University of Nebraska. His great interest was music and he was an excellent musician and pianist. In California, he worked in a service station and also led an orchestra. In February, 1948, he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Wickeser of Humboldt, who with their son, Donn, two years old survive. Other survivors include his mother, two brothers, Harry Linn, Ness City, Kansas and Lt. Col. L. P. Linn, now in Japan. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at Pawnee City, at 2:30 o'clock, Thursday afternoon, December 13, with Rev. W. N. Wallis officiating. David Rinne of Seneca, Kansas, sang, "The Lord's Prayer" and "The Twenty-Third Psalm" with Mrs. Lucy Sawyer of Pawne3e City, organist. The pallbearers were Howard Byers, Byford Metzger, Harlan Keiser, Arnold Parli, Kenneth Butterfield and Harold Williams of Pawnee City. Miss Gertrude Luthy, Mrs. Harold Buss, Mrs. Wayne Burrow and Mrs. Estelle Killebrew of Humboldt were in charge of the floral arrangements. Interment was in the Pawnee Cemetery.
