Description	:	John William Ridinger, 73, of Mount Pleasant died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at his home. Born Aug. 1, 1939, in Trenton, he was the son of Leonard and Margaret Leyden Ridinger. On Feb. 19, 1958, he married Wanda Christner in Trenton. She died Jan. 20, 1964. On March 18, 1966, he married Judy Lee Warrington in Trenton. Mr. Ridinger attended rural schools and was a 1958 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. He served in the Iowa National Reserves. Read More	John William Ridinger, 73, of Mount Pleasant died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at his home. Born Aug. 1, 1939, in Trenton, he was the son of Leonard and Margaret Leyden Ridinger. On Feb. 19, 1958, he married Wanda Christner in Trenton. She died Jan. 20, 1964. On March 18, 1966, he married Judy Lee Warrington in Trenton. Mr. Ridinger attended rural schools and was a 1958 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. He served in the Iowa National Reserves. He began working in Mount Pleasant as a carpenter with local contractors. He later joined Union No. 2158, working as a millwright. He traveled throughout the country to nuclear power plants. He retired in 2001. After retirement, he purchased houses and remodel them. Many people would recognize him as a Walmart greeter. He refurbished furniture and houses. He enjoyed listening to old country music and watching Westerns. His greatest enjoyment was following his grandchildren's activities. He was a member of Green Mound Church of God, but also attended Lincoln Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Margaret Ridinger of Yukon, Okla., Jocinda Hughes and Serena Ridinger, both of Mount Pleasant, Amber Hummell of New London; one son, Kieth Ridinger of Yukon, Okla.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his step-mother, Thelma Ridinger of Mount Pleasant; and one brother, Larry Ridinger of Trenton. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, one daughter, and one brother.
