Read More	Stratford Courier November 8, 1894 DIED - At Webster City, Wednesday at 2 o'clock a.m. Nov. 7, 1894, Jonas Fallein, age 35 years, 8 months and 20 days. The resignation that he is gone never to return is a crushing blow to the family, and wife they feel theirs is an irreparable loss. He was given every attention during his short illness and in every way possible shown deep affection and concern that was felt for him, but death was relentless and claimed him. He was confined to his bed only a little over a week but had been ailing for some time before, and although advised by friends to leave the office and rest up, he would not stop his work until completed to. His last illness was only a week's duration, but he bore his suffering with patience although at times it seemed unbearably, yet he seldom ever complained. Mr. Fallein was born in Boone County, Iowa February 16, 1859 and has lived in that and Hamilton County ever since excepting a few years that he may have been away at school. He was married to Hannah Swedlund March 13, 1884. To this union was born four children, two boys and two girls, who are left to mourn the loss of him, whose hand should guide them through life. His home life was spent in giving to his children the fullest love and sympathy possible and the possibilities of a father's love lavished in unmeasured and unremitting care and concern are great. Their home life has been perfect, each finding a satisfying enjoyment in the others company. Mr. Fallein lived on his farm south of town until about four years ago when he moved into Stratford and went into the grain business, which he followed for about two years when he was elected County Auditor, which office he filled to the satisfaction of all as was shown by the ballot last Tuesday when he was reelected for the next term. The remains have been brought to Stratford and will be interred in the Olson cemetery. There will be a short service at the Methodist Church in town at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow and the funeral sermon will be at the Swedish M.E. Church four miles south of town at 12 o'clock. In the death of Jonas Fallein all feel that a personal friend has gone. A man of integrity and worth. One whose life has been lived for the betterment of his fellow-man. The influence of such a life cannot be measured, it goes on and on through generation after generation - the grave has no victory enclosing its portals over the lifeless clay. Truly a good man has gone.
