Read More	Clyde Republican and Clyde Herald, Th. 1 March 1906: Joseph Snow Dies Suddenly Joseph Snow, a familiar figure on the streets of Clyde, who has lived here for about twenty-five years was found dead at his home in east Clyde Wednesday morning. He had been ailing for several months but had recovered sufficiently to enable him to come up town Saturday. He was however taken worse Monday and died yesterday. He has lived alone in East Clyde for many years a daughter and son still survive him but their where abouts are now unknown to this paper. We have been unable to get any reliable information concerning the deceased, but he was a man about 70 years old and was well known in this community. The Clyde Herald. Th. 8 March 1906: A Sad Death The funeral of Joseph Snow, who died last Wednesday took place on Thursday. We should refer to it as a burial instead of a funeral as there was no funeral. This is one of the saddest cases that has come under our observation for some time. It is bad enough to die among strangers, by strange hands, but to die at home in a neighborhood where he had reared and educated his family, where he had grown old and feeble, and then to not have a single mourner at his burial, to have no funeral services, no relatives or friends to drop a tear or scatter a flower over the mound, is indeed a sad ending for a fellow human being. That was the case with Joseph Snow. The only people at the burial were some old friends and the undertaker. The absence of people was due to the fact that no relatives were here to consult regarding the funeral, the suddenness of the death and the fact that the deceasesd had no very close friends. He lived all alone and was rather a peculiar character. But just the same it loked pretty tough. He has a daughter and a son but just where they live now we are unable to learn. He has considerable property and was by no means dependent upon charity.
