Description	:	J. B. McCue died Wednesday morning at his home three miles southeast of Milford. Funeral services were held at the home on Thursday. Red Oak Express, February 28, 1896 Death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. John B. McCue for the first time, their family circle has been broken. J. B. McCue was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, October 25, 1851, and was at the eldest of eight children. He with his family moved to Jackson County, Iowa, when quite young. About 25 years ago he came to this county, always remaining under the parental roof. Joe was stricken with that terrible disease, consumption, about four years ago, suffering constantly from that time. He fell asleep in Jesus, February 26, 1896, as peacefully as a child. He was conscious until the last, singing and bidding the loved ones goodbye, and assuring his aged parents that he was fully trusting and that all was well with Joe. The funeral services were conducted in the M. E. Church, Thursday noon, by Rev. Long, of the United Brethren Church, of which deceased was a member. Red Oak Express, March 6, 1896 Joseph B.
