Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Meier at home; nine sons, Casper Meier, 2427 Lower Silver Lake Road, Joseph J. Meier, Route 6, Sylvester A. Meier, 801 Vail, Hubert T. Meier, Route 6, Augustine G. Meier, 214 W. St. John, Peter Paul Meier at home, Leonard G. Meier, 2300 Lower Silver Lake Road, Robert P. Meier of Mobile, Ala., and Raymond Meier at home; and two daughters, Mrs. Marie Weigel, 1719 Lower Silver Lake Road, and Mrs. Lucille Krischer, Route 6. Other survivors include a brother, Alexander Meier and a sister, Mrs. Ann Marie Melchior, both of South America. 35 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The body will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Brennan Funeral Home. Rosaries will be recited by St. Vincent de Paul Society at 6:45 p.m., by the parish at 7 p.m., by the Knights of Columbus No. 2608 at 7:30 p.m., by the Fourth Degree at 7:45p.m., by the Ladies of Columbus at 8 p.m., by the Adult CYO at 8:15 p.m. and by the Nocturnal Adoration Society at 8:30 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
