Description	:	I realize that the birth and death dates do not match the stone but Joseph is family and i have done a lot of research. Not sure who put these dates on the stone but they are not corrrect. The stone was erected well after his death. Joseph Jeffers married Elizabeth McCombs on March 25, 1830 in Harrison Co, OH. They were the parents of Charlotte, Catherine, Jacob, Tabitha, Marvin, Elizabeth and Joseph Jeffers. After the death of Elizabeth Joseph married Mary Elizabeth Budd about 1862 in Ohio. Joseph and Mary were the parents of William, Clara, Jennie, Thomas, and Walter Jeffers. Contributed by Pamela - The bio. of Joseph states that he remarried after Elizabeth died. She actually outlived Joseph but was a patient at a few mental institutions so she was "forgotten". The Toledo State Hospital has a cemetery for all of the patients who died there and whose remains weren't claimed by any family members (often due to the stigma of "insanity"). Those patients were buried in unmarked graves, with only their burial number etched on a small block to mark their existence. Elizabeth married Joseph 3/25/1830 in Harrison County, OH. On the 1850 census they were living in Wood County, OH. On the 1870 census she was living at the Bowling Green Infirmary. On the 1880 census she was living in Toledo at the Northwest Ohio Hospital for the Insane (eventually called Toledo State Hospital Asylum). That census said she had been there 8 years and was diagnosed with melancholia. She died in 1890 according to the hospital records listing her burial as 1890.
