Vavruska, Rudolph Spinler, Frank Farnik, Joseph Divish. Burial was made in Hingham Union cemetery beside the grave of his wife, who preceded him in death on March 9, 1939. The passing of his beloved wife forced him to his bed with a fast declining health, which, despite his advanced age, had been robust throughout his active life. Joseph Kocar was born in Dreschin, Czechoslovakia March 19, 1844, son of James Kocar. He came with his family to America in 1892, settling in Medford, Wisconsin, on a farm. There he remained until ten years ago when he came to Hingham with his wife and son Louis. In Czechoslovakia Mr. Kocar had been a railroad contractor from the time he was a young man and remained with his work until he came to the United States. His reputation had been that of an industrious man and a kind and loving father. Surviving him are seven children: Mrs. Frank Chinadle, Frank, Jerry, Joe, Louis, Emil, Mrs. Mary Barta, and 21 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
