Description	:	Delphos Republican March 30, 1939 Joseph Martin Buckland, son of Thomas and Agnes Buckland, was born near Kirwin, Kansas, August 21, 1874, and departed this life at his home near Glasco, March 25, 1939, aged 64 years, seven months and four days. At the age of three, with his parents, he moved to Illinois, where they lived for several years. In 1884, they returned to Kansas, settling on a farm near Delphos, where he grew to manhood. Read More	Delphos Republican March 30, 1939 Joseph Martin Buckland, son of Thomas and Agnes Buckland, was born near Kirwin, Kansas, August 21, 1874, and departed this life at his home near Glasco, March 25, 1939, aged 64 years, seven months and four days. At the age of three, with his parents, he moved to Illinois, where they lived for several years. In 1884, they returned to Kansas, settling on a farm near Delphos, where he grew to manhood. In 1903, he was married to Laura Mae Everley. He was converted and united with the Bethel Methodist Church, where he still held his membership. To the union of Joseph and Laura, two children were born: Glenn E. Buckland, of Portis, Kansas, and Dale L. Buckland, Woodston, Kansas. He leaves his wife, two sons, three grand-children; one brother, Ed of Waynoka, Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Ross McKain, of Glasco; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Bethel Church at four o'clock, preceded by a short service at three o'clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank McCollough in Glasco, where Mrs. Buckland is being cared for. The music was furnished by a male quartet, composed of Will, Lester, and Gaylord Pilcher, and Cool Blake. Rev. Roy Allsbury had charge of the services. Interment was made in Bethel Cemetery.
