Music was furnished by Miss Harriet Gallaway and Mrs. F.J. Leschinsky accompanied by Miss Shirley Owens at the organ. Pallbearers were H.L. Lang, Leslie Kramer, Norman Beck, Chas. Bacus, Ray Kuhn and John Slote. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. C.A. Rydberg, Dr. E.W. Gill, George Haller, John Haller, C.H. Bacus and Wm. Beck. Jozines Cording was born Nov. 27, 1878 at Zevenheusen, Holland, the fourth child of Simon and Adrianna DeLyster Cording. As a child he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. At the age of fifteen he came with his family to Sherman County, Nebraska where they settled on a farm south of Loup City. He received his high school education in Holland and in 1905 was graduated from Creighton University, School of Pharmacy. On Sept. 23, 1907 he was united in marriage to Blanche Bennett at Loup City, Nebraska. To this union were born three children all of whom survive him. He was a practicing pharmacist fifty two years,, thirty of which were spent in the service of the Litchfield community. In 1943 he went to Columbus then to Kearney a year later. Two years ago he retired from active business. He passed away in the Methodist Hospital at Scottsbluff, Nebraska, at 2:45 p.m., Nov. 16, 1954 at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his wife, three children, Mrs. Lucille Diefenderfer, Loup City, Mrs. Elaine Hardy of Pocatello, Ida., and Joe B. Cording of Scottsbluff; one sister, Mrs. W.W. Murphy of Grand Junction, Colo., eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
