Description	:	RURAL HALL, NC ~ Juanita M. Terry, 83, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on Monday, February 6, 2017. She will be remembered as a much loved and fun-loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was born on December 4, 1933 to Charlie D. and Georgia Matthews and spent her childhood in the Shoals Community of Surry County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James "Jim" Thomas Terry, and her sister, Mary Frances "Pat" Fulk. She was born on December 4, 1933 to Charlie D. and Georgia Matthews and spent her childhood in the Shoals Community of Surry County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James "Jim" Thomas Terry, and her sister, Mary Frances "Pat" Fulk. She is survived by her children: Tanya Terry Wallace (Lee), James Gregory Terry (Lisa), and Monica Terry; and her grandchildren: Chevonne Wallace, Landon Wallace, and Andrew Terry. Juanita graduated from Shoals High School, where she was Miss Shoals (1950) and a star basketball player. She retired from AT&T after twenty years of service. She was an avid Bingo player and loved spending time with her Bingo Buddies. She loved eating out and short trips with friends and family. Visitation will be held at Slate Funeral Home, 132 E. Dalton Rd, King, NC 27021, at 2:00 pm on Thursday February 9, 2017. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Fairview United Methodist Church in Pinnacle, North Carolina.
