Description	:	Boone County Democrat September 17, 1909 Mrs. Robert D. Royster, whose maiden name was Julia A. DeFore, was born in Clay county, Indiana, September 11, 1848, and died at her home in Dodge township, Boone county, Iowa, September 11, 1909 aged sixty one years. When she was two years old she came with her parents to Boone county and settled near Madrid, two years later they moved to Dodge township and she has made her home there since. Royster, whose maiden name was Julia A. DeFore, was born in Clay county, Indiana, September 11, 1848, and died at her home in Dodge township, Boone county, Iowa, September 11, 1909 aged sixty one years. When she was two years old she came with her parents to Boone county and settled near Madrid, two years later they moved to Dodge township and she has made her home there since. In 1867 she was married to Robert D. Royster, who survives her. To this union thirteen children were born, four of whom died in infancy and nine survive to mourn the departed, Logan Royster and Mrs. Carrie Wackershauser living in Tacoma, Washington, George A., Louis, Mrs. Estella Wackershauser, Mrs. Olive Higby, Mrs. Ida Cole, Robert and Charles residing in Boone county, and two grandsons raised by her, George and Ernest, sons of Logan Royster, also a sister, Mrs. Mary S. Nelson and a brother H.C. DeFore, in Boone, and one brother and three sisters in the state of Washington. At the age of twenty Mrs. Royster was converted and joined the Baptist church at Mineral Ridge and remained a faithful member of that church until her death. The funeral services were Monday, September 13th, conducted by the Rev. S.P. Fogdall, pastor of that church, burial in the Mineral Ridge cemetery.
