A large concourse of friends and neighbors were present in sympathy with the bereaved ones and to pay their last tribute of respect to the memory of one they knew and loved. Favorite hymns were sang by Miss Ida Simmons and Mrs. Paul Forestal accompanied by Mrs.H.A.Paul. Pallbearers were Clyde Edmundson, A.P.Phillips, A.J.Harbor, C.A.Wight, O.J.Harris, and Arthur Phelps. The following account of her life and tribute to her memory was read at the services: "Julia A.,daughter of Simeon and Hester Triplett, was born in Warren county,Ill., Sept.27,1868,and departed this life at her home in Henderson,Ia.,Monday,Sept.17,1934,at tha age of 65 years and 20 days. Very soon after her birth her parents moved to Montgomery county, Ia., where she attended school and grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Jasper S. Danford, Feb.21,1884. This union was blessed with nine children; three sons and six daughters, all of whom survive their mother and are as follow: Mrs. Mabel Smith of Soldier,Kan., Hattie of Clarinda, Mrs. Julia Bliss of Central City, Simeon T. of Macedonia, Mrs. Mary Johnson of Soldier,Kan., Mrs. Blanche Edmundson of Macedonia, Mrs. Addie Fritcher of Henderson, Jasper P. of Council Bluffs, and Harold E. of Pacific Junction. She gave her heart to Christ in 1892 and united with the Baptist church. In 1913 she transferred her membership to the Church of Christ in Henderson. She was a good woman,faithful and true to the trust reposed in her, earnest and devout, ever living in the faith and hopes of her life eternal,loved and respected by all who knew her. Her husband preceded her to the heavenly home having departed this life, Wednesday morning, Sept.5,1934. For nearly 17 years she had been afflicted with rheumatism and for several years confined to the home and wheel chair. During these years she was tenderly cared for by her loved ones. A few days after the death of her husband she suffered a paralytic stroke, growing gradually weaker until death came as a sweet release, freeing her spirit from the tenement of clay that it might return to God who gave it, a loving mother, a good neighbor, and a true friend. She leaves to mourn her passing besides he children, 29 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three brothers and three sisters as follows: Leonard of Henderson, George of Santa Ana, Calif., Walter of near Yuma, Calif.; Mrs. Addie Todd of Wessington, S.D., Mrs. Mary Wilson of Macedonia, Mrs. Minnie Wilson of Glenwood, and other relatives and a great host of friends."
