Read More	LAWSONIA MATRON PASSED AWAY Mrs. Julia Ann Lawson Was 84 Years Of Age Full of years and active until a short time before death overtook her, Mrs. Julia Ann Lawson, one of the community's most highly respected matrons, died at her home on the Johnson Creek road in Lawsonia, Monday morning. She was 84 years of age. Mrs. Lawson was born in Lawsonia, the daughter of the late William and Caroline Lawson, and her husband was the late Frank P. Lawson. Both of them were members of old Somerset county families who took a leading part in county life and advancement through the years. She was a woman with many fine traits of character, and her kindness and helpfulness endeared her to her neighbors and to everyone who knew her. Her life had been an active one, with her family, and in community and church affairs. Her neighbors speak of her as having been "nice, very nice," and their regard for her was of the highest, their affection sincere and deep. She reposed at her home until Wednesday afternoon, when funeral services were held at 2.00 o'clock in Asbury Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Robert E. Green, pastor. Interment was in Asbury cemetery. Bearers were Edmond Sterling, Carroll Sterling, Elijah Sterling, Wm. Sterling, Bud Sterling and Wilmer Sterling.
