OBITUARY Mrs. Julia Adams, whose maiden name was Julia Edwards, was born at Herlan Farm, Breage in Cornwall England, June 24th, 1854 and passed from this earthly life at her home near Chester, Nebr., August 16th, 1934. Her age at the time of her death being 80 years, 1 month, 22 days. Her childhood and young womanhood were lived in England where on September 5th, 1881 at Helston she was married to John Henry Adams. They left England immediately to come to America. Their destination was Vesta, Nebraska, where they lived on a farm until the spring of 1892. In that year the family moved to a farm three miles northeast of Chester and this farm has been her home till now Mrs. Adams was the mother of four children, Elizabeth who died in infancy, Ben Adams and John Adams of Chester, and Mrs. Lawrence Dry of Mitchell, Nebraska. She also leaves two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Barbara Dry of Mitchell and numerous relatives in England. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband who died September 18, 1902. In England she was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Society and after moving to Chester both she and her husband united with the Christian church. Julia Adams loved her home and gave her entire life to her family. She liked a quiet simple life and was a great lover of nature.
