Read More	ESTEEMED AKRON WOMAN SUMMONED LAST THURSDAY Last Rites Are Held For Mrs. Ole Kjose Saturday Afternoon Mrs. Ole Kjose passed away at her home in Akron, Thursday morning, September 11, 1941. On September 1 she suffered a light paralytic stroke and on Wednesday of the same week she suffered a second stroke, from which she never recovered. She attained the age of 75 years, 8 months and 16 days. Julianne Amundsen, daughter of Amund and Anne Amundsen, was born December 25, 1865, in Holland, Norway. Early in life she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She received her schooling in the public schools of Norway. Sometime between the years of 1883 and 1884 she came to the United States with relatives and came directly to Sioux City, Iowa. On August 24, 1889, in she was united in marriage with Ole Kjose, and for six or seven years they lived in Sioux City. They then located on a farm in Union county, S.D., where they resided for some forty-three years. They lived in Elk Point, S.D., two years, but returned to the farm, and three years ago moved to Akron to spend the evening of life together in retirement. Three children were born to this union and today mourn their mother's departure. One sister and one brother preceded her in death. Those left to mourn are, her husband, Ole Kjose, two sons and one daughter, Oscar, of Akron;. Mrs. Leander Englund and Julius, of Elk Point; also three grandchildren, Marvin and Orland Englund and Delores Kjose. The relatives have the sympathy of a host of friends in the bereavement. As a faithful wife and mother, she sought diligently to fill her station in life. As a helpmeet to her husband, as a devoted mother, the welfare of home and family were ever near to her heart. In memory of the departed, a number of memorial wreaths were presented to the family, among them a gift for Home Missions by Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hofland. Funeral services were held Saturday, at 1 p. m. at the home in Akron and at 2:30 p.m. in South St. Paul Lutheran church in Union county, S.D., conducted by Rev. J. A. Pannkuk, of Akron.
