Juneaver was born March 6, 1917 in Farmersburg, Iowa, the oldest of four children to George and Laura (Reinke) Radloff. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmersburg and was a lifelong member. Read More	Juneaver Wilhelmina McNichols, 99, of Farmersburg, Iowa died Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Elkader Care Center in Elkader, Iowa. Juneaver was born March 6, 1917 in Farmersburg, Iowa, the oldest of four children to George and Laura (Reinke) Radloff. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmersburg and was a lifelong member. Juneaver graduated from Farmersburg High School in 1935 and received a degree in business from Wartburg College in Waverly in 1938. She was an accomplished pianist, studying under Professor Heist. She worked three years at Lutheran Mutual Life Insurance in Waverly before moving to San Diego, California and worked in the office of Solar Aircraft. It was in San Diego that she met a young Marine on leave. Juneaver became Mrs. Charles F. McNichols on October 22, 1943 in New River, North Carolina. After Charles (Frank) was discharged from the service, they moved to his home town of Omaha, Nebraska, where Juneaver worked for Douglas County Bank. Their daughter Laura June was born in Omaha. In 1951 they moved to Farmersburg and built a home next door to Juneaver’s parents. Juneaver taught piano lessons for six years and was a substitute music teacher at Farmersburg Elementary School. In 1962 she began working as a teller at the Farmersburg Bank and retired from there in 1981. She was a past member of the Lutheran Women’s Circle and served as treasurer for the Ladies Aid. She was also a leader of the Cheery Chums 4-H Club for several years. She regularly attended the mealsite while it was offered in Farmersburg and was a member of the “Euchre” and “500” card clubs. Juneaver loved being surrounded by family and attending her grandchildren’s and great- grandchildren’s activities. She loved to travel. A lot of her favorite memories included traveling with her daughter on many of the “Freedom Clubs” bus trips. Juneaver is survived by her daughter, Laura June (Carl) Moser of Elkader; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, David (Michelle) Moser, Austin and Trevor, of Elkader, Dalen (Candace) Moser, Skylar and Sydney of Monona, Laura Lynne (Jessie) Goldsmith, Samuel, Alexandra and William of Dubuque and Carol Ann (Darin) VanWyk, Camryn and Jadyn of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Kenneth (Donna) Radloff; and many nieces and nephews. Juneaver was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, Charles, the love of her life on January 1987; her parents; two brothers, Virgil and Donald and their wives, Gertrude and Helen. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at 1:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg, Iowa. Burial will follow in Farmersburg – Wagner Cemetery, Farmersburg, Iowa.
