Description	:	Karen Grace Hanson was born Aug. 22, 1891, at Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Matilda Madison Hanson. She died at her home in Superior, Saturday, Oct. 15, at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 23 days. Read More	Karen Grace Hanson was born Aug. 22, 1891, at Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Matilda Madison Hanson. She died at her home in Superior, Saturday, Oct. 15, at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 23 days. After her public school education she had attended the Nelson College at Nelson, the Grand Island College of Grand Island and the York College of York. She had made her home at York, Nebraska, from 1920 to 1947 and was employed as secretary-treasurer of the Harrison Nursery Company there. In 1947, she moved to Superior and was also employed at a number of businesses here before retiring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Superior and been a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Business and Professional Women's Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Hanson, who died in 1918 while in the service of his country. She is survived by three brothers, A. G. Hanson of Superior, Eugene W. Hanson of Lodi, Calif., and Ralph L. Hanson of Lincoln; two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Wittmeyer (Ann) of Renton, Wash., and Mrs. Ewald Asplund (Ida) of Seattle, Wash., and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service was Oct. 20 at 2:30 p.m. at the Montgomery-Williams Funeral Home in Superior. The Rev. Richard Kelderhouse, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
