Luchsinger on December 3, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus. Karen worked for Becton-Dickinson for a number of years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she did volunteer work. She was a member of the church evening guild, funeral serving committee, and had taught Sunday School.
