Description	:	Katherine Reardon was born near Bradford, Ill., February 1, 1862. Her father died when she was a child and until she was twenty years of age she, with her mother, brother and sisters, made her home at that place. On March 20, 1880, she was married to William S. Brown of Castleton, Ill. To this union were born five children, Winfred Earl, Alva Lee, Beulah Grace, Ethel Elizabeth and Irene Ruth. Her father died when she was a child and until she was twenty years of age she, with her mother, brother and sisters, made her home at that place. On March 20, 1880, she was married to William S. Brown of Castleton, Ill. To this union were born five children, Winfred Earl, Alva Lee, Beulah Grace, Ethel Elizabeth and Irene Ruth. In the fall of 1882 with her husband and her oldest son, then a baby, she came to Fairmont, Neb., and settled on a farm, five miles southwest of town, where she spent the remaining years of her life. It is not too much to say that Mrs. Brown was a good wife and mother, a woman of supreme faith in Christ and His power to save. She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church of this city. For the past eight years she had been a great sufferer and had twice submitted to dangerous surgical operations. She passed away at her home Thursday, December 2, at 5 p.m. As the end drew near, her children were summoned and she died at peace with the world and her Master. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the family home and at the Methodist Church of Fairmont at 2 o'clock. Rev. L. R. DeWolf pastor of the Methodist Church of Superior, being in charge. He was assisted by Rev. W. A. Albright of this city. There was a large attendance at both services. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment was made in the Fairmont Cemetery. Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Brown leaves to mourn her death, a sister, Miss Nellie Reardon of Peoria, Ill., a brother, Henry Reardon of Fairmont and four grandchildren. Her sister, Miss Nellie Reardon had shared with the daughters in the untiring service to their loved one, the past year. Mr. Brown's brother, J. E. Brown of Wyoming, Ill., was present at the funeral.
